All vehicles are registered to the EZPass account holder. The app rarely works or won't let me sign in.
Transponders are always in the vehicle where they can be read. I bought two new vehicles, and before I could update my plates, we went through toll booths. Mine you my transponders were in the vehicle. I received one tolls by mail, and went online to pay it or connect it to my account.
Yet, the EZPass website and tolls by Mail sites are apparently separate and don't communicate. Ezpass knew who to send the bill to, but didn't think to check if my tags were stolen, or just bill my account. Months after thinking I fixed it, I received a separate bill saying I now have a violation of $50.00. I went online, and it is showing a violation that wasn't there the last time prior to the bill I thought I fixed.
But that bill was still there too. I corrected it again, it says it is in dispute? I tried calling, and that is a nightmare, only when I was finally on hold to speak with someone I was informed my hold time was over an hour due to high call volume. (I wonder why).
I also sent an email. While on the EZPass site it shows I have no outstanding bills or violations. So which one is it?
How about employing everyone that lost their booth jobs in the customer service center, and how about getting a website that meets 2024 standards. What are you doing with our money, because the roads, app, and website are horrible!

Horrible Billing & Customer Service
I don't even know what to say about E-Z Pass NY. They charged me $50 in late fees on a $4 toll that was 2 months overdue, despite me having paid it.
I paid that and setup EZpass to avoid this a second time. Entered banking and credit card information and select pay as you go. Just got a notice that I had a $20 fine because my bank and credit card information was not working and I hadn't paid the balance. What balance, it was pay as you go?
1 hour on the phone and both operators kept saying the same thing..it removes accounts automatically when it fails. Why didn't you notify me? It removes it automatically. You have my email why didn't you notify me?
They should have. Why didn't you use the credit card the website specifically said it would use as backup? It removes it automatically.
What a joke, or at least it would be if it didn't keep costing me so much money. Criminals don't usually charge this much and are a lot more fair than this organization.

I'm in the same boat. Sent them a copy of my statement showing my transponder read at other toll locations but they did not read my statement and sent the $75 to collections.
I will be contacting MA where my account is held for assistance.
Delaware took note and apologized for the inconvenience. Why must we pay for their faulty equipment ?
